Knit Stations

Tucked away in various spaces across the campus of Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Knit Stations functioned as an isolated, community activity. Though anyone could participate, the actions involved in a Knit Station are typically solitary, providing the participant with the simultaneous sensations of community and the comfort of working alone. Over the course of one week, the work attached to the stations grew, existing not only as a testament of the knitters time and effort, but also of the sometimes disconnected group of students, faculty, workers, and visitors that fill Mass Art.
